DIY Wood Gobble Placemats

One week from today and we will be feasting away!  That means you still have plenty of time to get your Thanksgiving table in order and today I'm sharing this fun wood gobble placemat project.

I used one 2' x 4' 1/4" plywood handy panel which costs about $7 to make four placemats.

The wood placemats are a great alternative to traditional fabric placemats, layered on top of a tablecloth they add a touch of quirky fun to the table.

Colorful Wood Bunting

How fun is this colorful outdoor wood bunting?  A very easy project that adds tons of punch and color to any space.  I made this wood bunting for our pool fence but you could hang it practically anywhere.

And because this is an outdoor project I used DecoArt's Patio Paint Outdoor acrylics, they are available in 53 beautiful colors and I choose 8 bright summery colors:

Happy Friday friends!  As we are nearing ever closer to the big day (who's ready? yikes!!) I continue to share gift build projects as part of the Handbuilt Holiday series with Ana White.  Today we are bringing you this beautiful and extremely functional organizer:

DIY Craft Stick Tree Jar Topper

Time to start wrapping up all those presents and today I'm so happy to be part of the Pretty Package Party hosted by Brooklyn Limestone.

My pretty package is actually a jar topper craft project you can make using craft sticks.  Fill the jar with any gift and you have a fun, creative and pretty package.

A few other bloggy friends shared their Pretty Package ideas too.  Check out Jen from The House of Wood and her wood burned gift tags!  I know we have a wood burning tool on our gift list this year so I'm eager to give this a try.  Love the traditional red and green mixed with craft paper and the wood tag - gorgeous!

Another beautiful idea using silver and white is Jen from Migonis Home and her pretty packages.  The glittered ornaments (from the Dollar Store of all places!) make the perfect embellishment and add just that bit of sparkle!

Bathroom Makeover

Hallelujah!  Isn't that how we all feel when you finally complete a long awaited room makeover?  I'm kicking myself for waiting two years to tackle this bathroom but life happened.  At any rate it's done and my whole family is loving it! 

The true testament - the before and after:

A little bit about this bathroom, we live in a 1740 saltbox farmhouse and this room is original to the home although I believe the doorway was originally where the mirror is leading directly to the living room.

DIY Modern Tree with Ornaments
