Framed Wall Quilt

For those of you who love to sew I shared this easy framed wall quilt over at Pretty Handy Girl yesterday.  Its straight sewing, four of the same pieces make up the X design and adds a huge punch of color for very little effort.

DIY Stuffed Animal Zoo

It's Handbuilt Holiday series time and today is the first build for the 2015 series!  Happy Friday and let's get started on a DIY gift you can build: stuffed animal zoo.

I've teamed up with the always awesome Ana White for this series.  You all know Ana is the mastermind behind hundreds of DIY building projects with free plans and she just finished filming her latest project - a DIY Alaskan cabin that we all want to move into!  Can't wait for that to air on TV soon.

Locker Style Mudroom Shoe Cubbies

Free plans today friends for this large five cubby locker style mudroom.  I built this piece over 3 years ago back in July 2012 and posted it here but I've had so many requests to create proper plans that I finally decided to do it.

Yikes that's an old cringe worthy picture but still a great project so I'm reposting.  This is my friend's house and she has four kids and no mudroom so we created one with this extremely user friendly locker cubby system.

This build is actually two pieces: shoe cubbies on the bottom which also serve as a bench and locker style cubbies up top with shelf storage.  Today I am sharing the plans for the shoe cubbies only.
