Center Of Attention Beautiful Thanksgiving Tablescapes

You dont need to spend a fortune to create a beautifully decorated table for Thanksgiving.
As a matter of fact, many of the Thanksgiving centerpiece ideas you will find below can be 
recreated by spending little or no money at all. By using natural materials you can create
a homespun table that will welcome your guests and celebrate the season. 

Consider collecting and grouping materials such as:

mini pumpkins or gourds
apples
red and green grapes
pine cones
acorns
feathers
seasonal flowers
twigs
vines

Then consider adding:

candles in different sizes and heights
small votives
colored glassware
vintage dinnerware to fill with the above items

Foyer Makeover in Antique Farmhouse

Every now and then in between building projects I try to focus on spaces in our home and today I'm sharing the front foyer makeover.  We all know the power of paint and this space is further proof that one small change of color can make a huge difference.

This is technically the front door of our 1740 farmhouse and I can imagine way back in the day how many people passed in and out (probably not this actual door but rather a more crude version).  We don't actually use this door on a regular basis except for the occassional stranger ringing the bell.

New In My Shop Antique Dinner Knife Handle Bell Pendant Necklaces

New in my Etsy shop, I made these pretty pendant necklaces from the handles of

antique and vintage dinner knives. Suspended inside each one is the single tine from a

fork, turning them into little bells that make a pretty chime sound. Each is accented
